If you’re using a point and shoot camera, put it on either portrait mode (if your dog will sit and pose!) or sports mode (to capture an action shot). Shoot outside in either early morning or late afternoon when the sun is low in the sky and the light isgolden. A slightly overcast day is also good to reduce contrast. It’s best to avoid windy days.
